JAMES R. "JR" JENSEN – 1965-2012


James R. "J.R." Jensen, 46, of DeKalb, Ill., died Thursday, March 15, 2012, as the result of a single car accident in Campton Hills.

Born July 7, 1965, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Ralph W. and Loretta A. (Jaeger) Jensen, he married Jamie B. Parnell on Sept. 7, 1997, in Dubuque, Iowa.

James served for many years as a family teacher at Mooseheart. He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose and Laborers' Union 582. He was an active PTA and Boy Scout volunteer.

He is survived by his wife, Jamie; his children, Anna, Hunter and Wesley all of DeKalb; his mother, Loretta; his brothers and sister, Jay (Lynn) Jensen, Jon Jensen, Joan (Gary) Dvorak all of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Joel (Lori) Jensen of Franklin, Tenn.; several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his father Ralph.

The funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday, March 21, at Anderson Funeral Home, DeKalb with the Rev. Tom Riemenschneider, Mooseheart Chaplin, officiating. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, March 20, at Anderson Funeral Home. Cremation will follow services at Anderson Funeral Home Crematory.
