SEEKING THE AIMS OF SCOUTING
VARIED PROGRAM
1999 Activities include:
The Troop 33 program is boy planned at our annual weekend Patrol Leaders Retreat. All Scouts have input into this plan through
their patrol leader.
During 1999 Troop 33 plans to offere 83 activities,
including 47 that are free of cost. We strive to provide a wealth of outdoor opportunities
to serve a wide variety of schedules and interests. Our annual plan is created during a weekend retreat
of the Patrol Leaders Council.
The goal of our program is to teach citizenship, character, and fitness.
We do this by creating numerous opportunities for leadership, shared responsibilities,
and team building. We explore our national heritage by travel through
17 states exploring in all directions the fabric of our nation. We will also
travel to Canada and Mexico to develop a better appreciation of other cultures
and heritages building a stronger sense of world brotherhood. Character is developed through service projects
and an active program of challenging programs that require Scouts to do their best. We promote physical fitness
through active outdoor programs, mental fitness through leadership and planning, emmotional fitness through group
interaction, and spiritual fitness through once in a lifetime experiences where Scouts see the great beauty and power of nature.
We try to offer a variety of programs that appeal
to a wide range of interests for boys of all ages and all ability
levels. Our program operates 12 months a year and we enjoy each season.
